Questions Solved

I have recently built myself a new computer, here are the details:

So far I have installed 3 different Windows Professional operating systems after clean formats. First I installed a Windows XP Professional corporate, then I installed a Windows XP Professional 64-bit corporate and finally most recently I installed just plain Windows XP Professional. Every time I reinstall everything seems to go fine, I fully update XP and install all drivers, install AVG antivirus and update everything else completely. This problem happens over time after every reformat.

I've already asked a few people in personal messages about this, but I can't seem to get a definitive answer (if it's possible, and if it is how to do it). Basically, I am set up to read up to dual-boot. I got my disk of Ubuntu Linux and all that, all I need to do is set aside some Gigs, download the OS and dual-boot and all that. I also got two monitors, and I want to use two monitors.

Is there someone who can find the problem? I was making an essay of an article. I used MS WORD 2003 when I created the document. My document was really creative because I made some creative stuff in the there to make it presentable to the instructor when I pass the file.

When I used the computer of my classmate I noticed that she using MS WORD 2010 and when I open the file the error message prompted on the screen and says "cannot open file. doc". I tried it again but still nothing works? Is it possible that MS WORD 2003 to MS WORD 2010 are not compatible? It used WINDOWS XP in MS Word 2003 and WINDOWS 07 for MS WORD 2010. Looking forward to your answer guys.

I want to download a free (Let me reiterate I mean FREE, like originally free, not the illegal copy) drawing/graphics software. You know, like Corel Draw, Paint Tool Sai, Adobe Illustrator, and other softwares. Here is the catch: they all need Administrator privileges and some, passwords! I cannot access the Administrator for my own reasons.

Anyway, does any of you know a drawing/graphics freeware that doesn't require Administrator rights?

Thanks guys.

I have a problem with my Firefox browser. Every time I open my default website, it returns an error saying it has an encryption problem, an error 501. I tried changing the URL, omitting the HTTP and adding WWW but it is not working. I have also tried reloading the page but it doesn’t work as well and it keeps on returning the same error. I tried opening my website to other browsers and it works fine. I really want to open my website to Firefox since it is my default browser and I really need your help in solving my problem.

I am in possession of a dell GX280 system – its form factor being tower – that has shown the following issues lately:

1. Fan issues: first and foremost the fan is very noisy and secondly it runs really fast. The system also hangs a lot and has really slowed down lately with processor really heating up. I did try applying the processor paste to the processor, while this did make the noise go away, it didn’t solve the slowness of the computer.

Hello out there,

Well, I have a desktop computer with a Gigabyte motherboard with integrated sound card, Intel pentium 4 (3.0 GHz), 512 Ram.

Operating system is Windows XP and the sound card driver had to be found. I had the hardware details from the Device Manager list; right click on the uninstalled hardware, the one with a yellow background exclamation mark on the left of it, get to the hardware properties details and copy the Hardware ID. It read : PCIVEN_8086&DEV_24D5&SUBSYS_A0021458&REV_023&13C0B0C5&0&FD

I pasted that on www.google.com and followed a link to get the hardware driver. Though nearly half the characters from the ID above had to be reduced for Google to return and answer.

Hi,

A serious problem is eating me up. I did some memory stick upgrade on my PC just today. After that when I boot the computer, it starts for some few seconds then crashes into a BLUE SCREEN. This happens repeatedly after ever boot attempt and is scaring me off. Below are a couple of files that can help in describing the problem.

C:Windowsminidump32311-25802-01. dmp
C:Usersbuddyappdatalocaltempwer -53991-0. sysdata.xml
