Questions Solved

While I was surfing the net, I accidentally opened a site that contains malware. My anti virus is outdated, since it came as a pre installed program  when I bought my laptop.

I did not buy a legal and premium anti virus since I don't usually use my computer. And I only use this to communicate with my family and friends outside the country.

While searching on Google, I opened a site that has malicious content. Without knowing that I been hit by a malware virus. My system suddenly slows down, and display repeated error message.

Just the other day my PC HP model G60 was in a good working condition, pretty fast and I shut it down as usual but when I tried to reboot the following error message was displayed at the log-in screen, "Svchost.exe – Application Error. The instruction at "0x77f51c96" referenced memory at "0x0000010". The memory could not be "written". There was an option to click Ok.

I have used all those versions of Windows and I have seen that windows XP is a lot faster than Windows Vista! Isn't it a funny thing the older version is faster than the younger version of Windows.

But the Windows Seven is much better than Windows Vista.

The main thing I want to know what is the problem with Windows vista, Why it is slower than Windows XP?

It was expected to be a new breakthrough for Microsoft but what it is its slower than windows XP. That is their improvement?

Is there any way to speed up the System in which is used the Windows Vista? I have seen the copying speed is very slow than compared to Windows Seven.

My laptop DVD drive is has developed a complication and it won’t work. I have tried playing different samples of CDs and DVDs but drive would not respond. I tried to check for the properties of the drive under device manager.

I went to Control Panel/System/Device Manager and under the DVD/CD ROM drives, right clicked on TSSTcorp CD/DVDW TS-L632D ATA Device/selected properties and under the "Device status" field, there was the message " .

This device cannot start. (Code 10) Click 'Check for solutions' to send data about this device to Microsoft and to see if there is a solution available." I tried to troubleshoot the driver.

I have a cute laptop, which I use for playing games and to watch movies.

I recently started facing an odd problem with my laptop DVD drive; it is not able to play a particular Movie, that has been purchased recently by my father from his Arab trips. It’s too strange that I can play all the other CD’s, except this one. Could anyone say what would be the problem and has my DVD drive started to crash? Please clear my doubt. What I need to do to make this disk to play. This is not a single DVD it’s a set of 20 DVD’s.

I am having a very annoying problem. Some programs i have installed in my PC comes at the startup. Every time i open the PC and those comes and some times those makes the PC slow due to their starting.

My PC need more time to start due to those unwanted programs though they are important but at the starting they are not wanted.

I am using Windows XP professional service Pack 2, and now my question is that what is the way to stop them from coming at the start?

I mean how can i remove those programs from my startup?

A detail answer may be helpful to me as i have not enough knowledge of different tabs and tools.

So please describe the process step by step. So i can understand and follow your instructions.

My computer crashed few times from the past months. It was really frustrating to pay for an expert technician to fix it everytime it happens. Just today, while I was doing some research for my job, it restarted automatically. I thought it was just normal because before it restarted, i downloaded some updates for my pc. After restarting, I cannot open my windows anymore. There is an error that says;

NTLDR is missing

Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart

Hi everyone,

Am using a friend’s laptop just to get online and look for some help. My laptop, Sony VAIO P6100 has a real error problem. The OS is Windows 7. The problem is that i can’t run any program or use my browser to get online. Generally on every program i run i am getting a “chrome.exe- system error”. The message is that; “the program can’t start because LPK.dll is missing from your computer try reinstalling the program to fix the problem.”

lpk.dll missing is a pain
