I'm using HP 2540p laptop with Windows 7 Professional installed in it. I've encrypted the HDD using an encryption software called Pointsec from Check Point. If I'm not mistaken, something happened with my laptop the HDD cannot be removed from the laptop.

The problem is the I cannot enter Windows 7 and always stuck at the beginning. It gave me error message: Pointsec can not load program. I still can access the bios, but cannot access windows. I was planning to retrieve the data using Ubuntu Live. So after I downloaded the iso file from Ubuntu site and burn...

The last time I used my computer, everything is seemingly fine. I did a normal startup today, when I am on my desktop, explorer.exe crashes. Everything on my desktop disappears and re-appears again. But I cannot do anything to perform any task.

This is frequently happens every after rebooting my pc.  I open the windows task manager by typing Ctrl+ Alt+ Del and rename explorer.exe then restart my system for changes to take its effect, but the problem still occurred. I manually scan my computer for any possible virus/es, But there are no virus found in my system....

I have got a HP Pavilion Model# dv6700 notebook (Intel Pentium Dual CPU T2370, along with 3 Giga Memory).  I have also installed Windows Vista Home Premium on it.  But I am facing an issue with it's start-up.  In-fact, it was probably performing an  update automatically and now it won't start up anymore.

It usually gets to the screen where it says "Configuring updates etc: Stage 4 of 4 - 7% complete" please Do not turn off your computer. But there it hangs  for almost 20-35 seconds, then no advancements in the 7%. After that, it just reboots automatically.

This really is a very strange and irritating issue for me because I haven’t experienced...

When I turned on my computer and in 5 seconds of starting up the blue screen suddenly appears. So I will restart it to be able to fix it but nothing happen. I called my friend to help me and she told me that I should try to press F8 but she didn't told me what will happen  after I press it. Just try it she said. I am facing a simple but very disgusting problem with Firefox web browser. It is crashing with regular interval in the middle of work. My Firefox version is 3.6.17. Recently, I installed add-ons like page speed, web rank and add this.

Is there any relation of crashing with these add-ons?

I have tried by uninstalling the add-ons. I have also tried to work under safe mood. But nothing can stop the crashing .

Is this happening for any kind of virus attack?

Should I try to upgrade to a newer version? I don’t want to use any other web browser because I love...
