Questions Solved

I am running Windows XP Pro on my home PC. When I am at the office, everyone in my house are using this computer for various purposes. I never locked my computer due to general use of my family member. Internet is available in my computer, but the problem is when I am not at home some of my family members use untrusted websites for downloading. And this download is also unnecessary and contains adult contents. So I want to stop this type of download. How can it possible without locking the  administrative user?

How to fix a computer when there is a beep sound?

When I turned on my computer yesterday I suddenly heard a beep sound. I press the power button to turned it off again. After 5 minutes I tried to turned on again and I heard the beep sound again. I turned it off for the second time but before I open it again I checked the hardware inside the CPU and I think its all okay.

So turned on the computer again but while the computer was on its start up mode I touched Hard disk, RAM and even the Video Card. I noticed that its very hot. So I immediately turned it off again to fix it. First, I removed the RAM, video card and Hard disk and then wiped the dust that's sticks to it. Then I put it back and turned the computer.

I am running XP Pro Service Pack 2 and the shutdown time it taking quite a long time, about 2 minutes or even more. This is quite annoying when you have to reboot. It’s wasting a lot of my precious time.

I recently updated drivers for my sound and video card. Blue screen problems started to appear immediately but i resolved the issue by uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers. When i try to shut down the computer, it takes a longer time than usual. Even when i have just started the PC and shut it down immediately, the shut down time is not less than 30 seconds.

Basically, i use 3 applications frequently. Adobe Photoshop, Illustrate and Adobe Go-Live. I have also noted the following:

I'm having a weird problem with my HP laptop. I turn it off normally before I go out, but when I turn it on, it displays blurry and stretched out. It all started when I installed Yahoo Messenger 11 and if I uninstall it, everything is fine. I don't know if it's really because of the Yahoo Messenger. My friend advised me to do a system restore but I don't see any restore point.

I am having trouble downloading updates on my Toshiba laptop. It has Windows Vista Home Premium Service Pack 1 32Bit Operating System installed on it. I have set my updates automatically.

But every time the updates start, I don't receive any errors that it failed to download some important updates like upgrading to Service Pack 2. I am using my laptop for almost a year now and yet I am still running Service Pack 1. I have lots of free space on my memory. My RAM is 2.00GB while my hard disk has 300GB spaces.

Hi to all,

I am an IT student. I just started using MS SQL Server. I am using 2005 edition of MS SQL. As I said I am new, so I am not familiar with all the tools. I created a database in the computer and I need to create the same database in another computer. So I need to take a back up of the existing database. I tried but I failed to create a back up.

I need some help.
