Questions Solved

I spend most of my time searching and surfing the net everyday and I have a problem with my browser. The problem is that when I open all web page using Internet Explorer (version 8.0) or Firefox (version4.0), all colours disappear. The background color is grey and the text appears in either grey or black colors. I have tried other browsers like Google Chrome but still the display remains the same. Some of the images are displayed but some do not appear at all.

Some days back I faced a serious problem with my computer, which is installed with the Windows XP.  My computer started to restart and shutdown automatically.  I tried to clean up all the virus, downloaded updates but nothing worked out.  After that I have purchased Windows 7 recently and its working  good.

Right now I am looking forward for someone to clear my doubts, on why it happened and what should I do if it occurs again.

My old monitor was busted already. When my uncle heard about this, he gave me his old but still working Dell flat panel monitor as he was able to buy a new one already.

When I first connected it in my HP 6750 CPU, it worked fine. The next day I used it, I noticed a discoloration first, before it displayed disrupted image until it became black and white lines. These lines are moving from top to bottom endlessly. I checked the physical connections of the cables, and all are fine.

I think there is some common problems with Fujistu TFT-LCD displays. I had a friend with a model that always displayed GREENNISH videos and picture.

I bought a new 19’’ inch Fujitsu-Siemens ScaleoView L22W-7SD TFT-LCD monitor.

It works fine but the problem is that some hues are covered with flickering vertical green stripes.

Watching movies or viewing pictures in this display is quite annoying; there is a lot of green shade on the graphics.

I have tried to change the resolutions and contrasts in the monitor settings.

I also changed the video setting hoping to get a better graphic display which i never achieved.

I purchased my personal very first Mac, a 20? iMac, and Furthermore, I have a very few Macrelated concerns. I have observed that there are numerous blog posts for the Apple community forums concerning screen brightness issues. Individuals state that their iMacs, both 20 as well as 24, have unevenly lit screens. I was wanting to know if you have observed anything at all regarding this? I ended up being worried about this at first, but I think that it may just be people nitpicking. I was also curious about if you have got used a program known as Circus Ponies, for mac. It appears to be just like an intriguing and useful piece of software, plus That I was wondering if it was worth paying the $50 price tag.

Hi all.

Is it possible to send video files?either through email or online, that would not cost any amount? I have here a video file that I would love to send to my friend, the file size is 699 MB. I already tried compressing it into .zip but the file size only reduces just a little bit, from 699 MB to 689 MB which is still too large. I tried some sites that would send huge files but it doesn't work, such as yousendit.com and filemail. I already tried too sending it through Gmail, yahoomail and msn, but it only uploads in just few minutes but at the end it says fail to send it because its too large.

Anybody could give my any ideas please? I would gladly appreciate it.

Thanks!

For the past four days my computer has been restarting randomly. After 10, 5, 30, minutes or even after some hours. Strangely enough i don’t get any error messages or notification when this happens.

After every shut down, a message "How do you want to start Windows" when the computer restarts itself.

Basically, i use the computer to surf the net using Firefox, play a game “Hitman Blood Money” and to play audio and video files.

I had a feeling the problem was the video card, i checked it out, and it was hot, it was kind of getting heated up. I bought a new video card and had it fixed. This time round my PC would blink for a second and then shut off.

I am not very highly skilled when dealing with Microsoft Office. I basically only know that you type in the text box and it makes a list in excel. Someday, I wish to take a course over Microsoft Office, but right now I have a job to design a book cover for an EBook. The project is most of the way finished, and it has to be printed shortly to be delivered to the client. To finish the cover, I need a full screen shot of someone creating text using the mirror style word art. I did have a screen shot already, but it is too difficult. I need an easier one.

1. On the ribbon at the top, click insert and then word art.

2. When you are in the word art gallery, choose the style that is most like the effect you want.

I decided to download a movie my best friend keeps on telling me about. He even gave me a link in ISO hunt where to download. I am a little bit curious in the movie as well, but to my frustration, I have waited almost five hours of download, but I cannot see the video!

I can only hear the conversations. My best friend testified that he was able to successfully watch the video from the given link. There were good comments as well on the ISO hunt page.

The file extension of the movie I have downloaded is .AVI and I am using the usual Windows Media player to watch videos, so I guess this is the reason why all my .WMV files are working.

I bought a new USB Kingston flash disk, but the problem is, I cannot get it to work with my laptop. My laptop is running on Vista. It is detected, yes, but I cannot have it to appear in my disk drives in My Computer. I am pretty sure my friend was able to use his flash disk few months ago, so I am not sure what seems to be the problem now. I have three available ports and have tried to plug my USB in all of those, but it is still not working. Restarted the laptop, tried it again, still no go.

I am no technical person, and do not know much about computers. Can somebody help please?
