I have HP Pavilion dv6000 series laptop. Recently I have problems with its DVD drive.

It doesn't read DVD every time.

I tried cleaning lens of the drive, still problem is not solved.

My Operating System is windows 7 64bit. I have a G15 and G35. When I try to install v88.01(lgs801_x64.exe) of LGS I find a runtime error message when the program starts.

I have reinstalled it again and again but get the same results.

Either it doesn't start (but gives a tray icon) or I find the following runtime error.

Is it not advisable to remove the battery of a laptop when just using it at home? I am just worried that my battery will die early when I use it always. So I made it a habit to remove the battery when I am just at home to save the life of my battery.

What is the problem with my HP 3 in 1 printer? When I tried to scan photos, only black image appeared. I tried it 5 times and it still gave same results. Attached here is a sample image that appeared when I tried to scan a photo.

Do I need to replace my monitor? When I turn on my Desktop I am sure that it boots normally and I can hear the sound so I can really say that my computer is working fine except the monitor. Is this somewhat related to software or my monitor needs to be replaced?

My DVD-ROM can read any DVD but Call of Duty MW3 DVD.

Why is that? Is anybody having a problem like that?

P.S. My DVD-ROM can read other DVDs with no problem.
