Windows 7 Installed along with Windows XP does not work

Laptop Configurations:

  • HDD- 580 GB
  • RAM – 2 GB
  • Graphic card – Nvidia
  • Processor - Inter core 2 duo

I had Windows 7 ultimate 32 bit installed on my laptop but one of my favorite game total overdose wasn't working in it, that's why I decided to install Windows XP with service pack3 without removing Windows 7 thinking that both OS can work together.

Web site local host problem

I have Microsoft Windows 7 on my laptop. I am trying to run a website from this computer just for personal use. I started up IIS services from Windows Features in control panel. Also configured website through IIS Manager. Most of the things are working fine and i am able to access the site through my own computer using http://127.0.0.1/. Firefox using excess memory. how can it be lessen?

I am using a laptop of 1GB RAM. When I browse with Firefox it sometimes make my laptop hang up. Now a day it is happening frequently. Firefox consumes most of the memory in my laptop. I cannot run any other application during net browsing. Should I switch to Google chrome or opera? Is it possible to limit the memory consumption of Firefox? How can I lessen the usage of RAM of Firefox?

I am running a Dell 2.2 GHZ, 2 GB RAM, 160 GB hard drive with Windows XP Home, had a virus and I had it removed. Got it home starts to run fine; can get on the internet using the normal DSL connection; it looks everything works fine.

Windows 7 Theme changed when playing video in Cyberlink Player

I’ve a desktop PC. My Operating system is windows 7 -64 bit. It’s a nice operating system. Gradually its giving great performance. But there is a problem. I use many player for playing songs. There are Windows media player, Media player classic, QuickTime, Vlc player, Cyber link Power DVD player etc.

Laptop keeps shutting down after around one hour of use

I have a 2- year old Compaq Presario that keeps shutting down after around one hour of use. Problem started a year ago and keeps on repeating. These are the things I have already done to revive my laptop:

  1. Cleaned the fan and heat sink. 
  2. Applied thermal paste to the heat sink.
  3. Reformatted the laptop.
  4. Installed updated anti-virus and made sure there are no malwares and Trojan.
  5. Brought my laptop to the service center.
  6. My laptop would be functioning well for around a week after I tried to fix it but it will start shutting down again. Is there any other way to truly fix...

Windows 7 EMU Sound Card Problem

Hello guys.

 I just installed the windows 7 and I’m having this irritating major problem. I got an EMU 1212 PCI sound card (aside from the built-in Realtek).
 
The problem is it will just work once for a while then after that I start hearing distorted sounds on the output. And now I have to disable the card and use the motherboard sound instead I never had this kind of problem in XP but in Windows 7 it crashes.
 
I tried reinstalling the latest EMU drivers 3 times, and I've tried the Windows 7 compatibility troubleshooter 3 times without success.

Windows has detected a Registry/Configuration Error

Good day!

Anyone who can help me please in this concern?

I turned on my PC yesterday and I was surprised with this error code that appeared on my computer monitor’s screen “Warning: Windows has detected a registry/configuration error. Choose Safe Mode to start Windows. ”

I followed the command prompt instruction and choose Safe Mode but only the black blank screen had appeared and nothing had happened afterwards.

I kept on restarting my PC by pressing the power button but the error had been repeatedly occurring again and again.
