After I reformatted my Presario Cq41 laptop there's a dialog box that keeps popping up.  

I don't have any idea of what it is all about. I keep searching on the net and find no answer.

I really need help, it annoys me, every time I open my laptop it always appears.

I'm a software developer who develops both desktop applications and web applications. My preferable database when developing desktop applications would be MS SQL Server. Sometimes I use Sybase SQL Anywhere and MS Access Database.

Recently I heard that MySQL can be used for desktop applications. I only use MySQL for web applications but if it's true that MySQL can be used in desktop environment as well that would be great I can connect both web and desktop applications to MySQL and interact with each other.

I recently bought a new dell laptop gx200 and switched from the old one which was also a dell. The old laptop use to turn off his fans when I put it in sleep mode while the new one will not do this. To find out why I did some research on the internet and it says that I need to enable my ACPI and set it to S3. I tried checking the BIOS for the option but there is nothing there remotely related to fans not even in the power management section. Any idea how I can enable this.

I'm a newbie in here and I was wondering if you can help me.

I'm developing a software using Netbeans and the database I'm using is MySQL. The web applications. My development is finished 50% and I'm going to create some reports generated from the web applications, but I don't know what kind of reporting tools are suitable for it. Some of my friends are suggesting me to use i-Report, while the others are suggesting me to use Crystal Reports.

I recently installed windows vista on my laptop and used it for 2-3 months.

Now after experiencing a lot of bugs in the windows vista I want to install my old XP back but the problem is that I can’t.

When I insert my XP CD and try to install it the system says you already have the latest version installed. My friend told me to format my pc and then install it but that means re installing all my required software and also taking a huge back up.

Is there any easy way to get my XP back without formatting my computer.

I recently bought a LG 2.1 sound system. When I connected it and installed its drivers it worked fine but after a restart there were breaks in the sound so I returned the system and switch over to my old Philips desktop speaker but the problem is that now I have the same breaks in my old speakers. The breaks are very small (less than a second) but very annoying while listening to music. I rolled back my old driver and also uninstalled the LG software but still there is the same loss of sound after every 2-3 secs. What should I do now?

I recently bought a western digital 320 GB ultra portable hard drive while I was on a travel trip. The problem is that when I reached home and opened it from its packing, upon connecting it asked for a password.

I checked the manual but there seems to be no reset password or in fact any kind of password.

I can’t return it because I bought it from another town and lost the receipt while on the trip but its brand new and in packing so I guess there must be some, factory reset password.

Please if anyone knows about how to reset the password do reply?

I have been experiencing a series of problems with my PC. Two days ago, It was crashing to blue screens every 5 seconds and the fun was making strange loud noise. I opened the casing and did a thorough cleaning, the heat sink and the processor, which covered by most of the dust. The blue screen problem was solved. I then installed a new fun, Rose will cooler “max 3.4 GHz, but the fun still made the same noise and it would refuse to boot.

I have 2 western digital 1 terra byte hard drives and they both work fine when I connect them independently to my computer but now when I wanted to transfer data from one onto another I plugged them into my USB ports but only one will show up in my computer.

I tried reconnecting them to different ports than those I used earlier but still the problem persists. It won’t be an issue of power since I am connecting both of them to my laptop. Since I have tried that also with my laptop connected to the charger, I would be glad for any help?

I have a 160 GB western digital hard drive. Recently the power went down and flickered while my computer was on. That caused my hard disk to get corrupted since now it shows only 33 GB of space and the rest is un-partitioned space. I tried removing the hard drive and reinstalling it after sometime but that didn’t help at all.

I tried using some recovery software on it to get back my sensitive data but they cant access the un-partitioned space.

Any ideas on how I can recover my stuff back?

I really need it since I don’t have any back up of that data.
