Experiencing clicks in sound help please…

I recently bought a LG 2.1 sound system. When I connected it and installed its drivers it worked fine but after a restart there were breaks in the sound so I returned the system and switch over to my old Philips desktop speaker but the problem is that now I have the same breaks in my old speakers. The breaks are very small (less than a second) but very annoying while listening to music. I rolled back my old driver and also uninstalled the LG software but still there is the same loss of sound after every 2-3 secs. What should I do now?

Dear Steve Smith,

  • I do not think that the problem is with your hardware. You can check it with the another computer. That might not show any problem. do one thing that you check your sound card & graphics card. There you may find some error.
  • Or even if you want you can upgrade the graphics and audio software and operating system.

This might work very good.

Hi Steve,

  • The problem start when you installed LG 2.1 sound system, does it meets the system requirement in your PC? It must have some conflicts between your system and the sound system. And when you put back your old speaker to the pc the problem is still there, it’s because not all installed component of the sound system is successfully removed in to your system.
  • I recommend using some registry cleaner to remove junk registry that still in the system of your PC.
  • Use ccleaner to do that, if you don’t have it in your PC you can download it.

If the problem started after installing the driver for your new speakers, try to uninstall and reinstall your sound card driver. The problem there is not with your old speakers but with the sound card where your speaker set is connected. Download the free version of Revo Uninstaller and install. Once installed, start Revo then select your sound card software among the applications and click “Uninstall”.

Follow the normal uninstall process. When you are prompted to restart the computer, click to restart later. When uninstall is complete, click “Scan” to scan your computer for any leftover files and delete everything it finds. This removes everything the program created on your computer. When it is finished, exit Revo then restart the computer. After booting, install the sound card driver back.

If the problem continues, download the latest driver for your sound card. See the following list of computer manufacturers and visit your brand:
