I am having a hard time connecting it to my laptop, its losing its connection so I have to find a good place for the adaptor to work.

For some reason I always getting a message that says my usb device is disconnected. After a couple of minutes, it will say connected again. It’s very annoying to hear the disconnection sound.

Right now these are the usb devices that are connected to my Dell Optiplex.

  • USB optical mouse
  • USB stick modem
  • Keyboard

I don’t know if the problem is on my devices or with the usb port of my computer. I tried unplugging them all and use them one by one but I still got that message. Also, I checked device manager and everything seems to be fine.

Every time I left my pc on standby mode, it crashes and needs to be turned on again to continue using it. The first thing I will do after I woke up is to turn it on then check my emails. After checking them all, I will head to the kitchen for breakfast then when I go back to my pc and it’s always off.

It’s very inconvenient always to always turn it on especially when I’m in a hurry.

Here are the specs:

  • Acer Aspire
  • Intel Pentium Dual Core
  • 500 GB HDD
  • 2 GB DDR3 Memory
  • Windows 7 Starter

My computer was recently attached by a virus that destructs my system, so I decided to reformat for me to start anew.

Everything else is going great except for one. My sound system does not work.

I am using a Windows XP Service Pack 2 machine and a Realtek device.

I do not know if I missed anything right after the reformat, but I am sure that the Realtek Audio driver was installed already.

I have checked the Device Manager, and it shows that my Audio device is working properly, but when I clicked on the volume control, it is grayed out.

Checked the Sound and Audio Devices and it is grayed out as well.

Need help please.

I changed my admin password because a lot of people are using my pc. Unfortunately, I forgot what it was and now I cannot access my desktop. I have a lot of important files in there.

Windows 7 is my OS and Acer is the brand of my pc. Now I’m regretting that I changed it. My pc is useless at the moment. I hope there is somebody there who can help me. I tried entering the password a couple of times and I’m locked out.

Can system restore possibly fix this?

I doubt it and never tried it before.

I lost my internet connection on my other computer. It only lets me access internet, if I boot to safe mode.

My security software is turned on, so I don’t think it’s because of a virus or Malware. It is one of those old Dell Optiplex systems and not under warranty anymore.  So I cannot get support from their tech support without paying a fee for support.

What else can I do, aside from system restore and OS reinstallation? I don’t have the OS CD anymore at hand.

Please help me if you can. Thank you so much in advance.

There are lots of files that I do not need on my pc.

I decided to do a pc restore to factory defaults after backing up my important files.

Now, I’m getting a message that says “BootMGR is missing Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to Restart” whenever I turn it on.

It seems that I messed up with the settings.

I tried to do a startup repair but it’s asking for the HDD’s disc.

It is a Dell OptiPlex 380 Desktop and has Windows Vista Operating System. I should have not touched it.

Any solution you may have is very much appreciated.

I attached a screenshot for reference.

I replaced my hard drive because the old one is already defective. There are lots of pictures and videos that I wanted to recover from that hard drive.

I don’t know how to do it. It was the Seagate 500GB SATA. When I tried to use it, it doesn’t boot to windows. It just says hard drive failed. I hope I can recover those files using my new hard drive that is currently working.

I’ve done research on the internet but I can’t find anything.

Hello,

I have NERO burner cd and i burn some music videos and save it onto a DVD tape. The process were completed but when i inserted to the DVD player the one burned from the computer, It says "Unsupport format" "Invalid Key" when i press play button.

Do you have an idea why the video cannot be played on DVD player?

I thought NERO is burner software?

Do you think it's the file format of the software? How can we convert video on MP4 file format that compatible to DVD player?

Apart from NERO what other software that can burn cd/DVD?

Thanks post your answers here.

The right click of my mouse is not working. My friend is the last one to use my personal computer at home. I did not take it as a joke when he told me that he'll play along with my PC and I have to resolve the issue myself. I guess I am challenged so I tried to check the mouse settings, however, all are in place.

Bad timing, I was so lazy enough to search this on the internet. Rather, I just want to wait for someone who will provide me the answer and then I'll try if this will resolve my issue. I have asked another friend and gave me an idea that it can be in the registry edit, but I do not want to touch it unless I was sure on what to do. Kindly help.
