The last time I used my computer, everything is seemingly fine. I did a normal startup today, when I am on my desktop, explorer.exe crashes. Everything on my desktop disappears and re-appears again. But I cannot do anything to perform any task.

This is frequently happens every after rebooting my pc.  I open the windows task manager by typing Ctrl+ Alt+ Del and rename explorer.exe then restart my system for changes to take its effect, but the problem still occurred. I manually scan my computer for any possible virus/es, But there are no virus found in my system. I want to know if this is a virus that my computer cannot detect due to it is already infected.

I have got a HP Pavilion Model# dv6700 notebook (Intel Pentium Dual CPU T2370, along with 3 Giga Memory).  I have also installed Windows Vista Home Premium on it.  But I am facing an issue with it's start-up.  In-fact, it was probably performing an  update automatically and now it won't start up anymore.

It usually gets to the screen where it says "Configuring updates etc: Stage 4 of 4 – 7% complete" please Do not turn off your computer. But there it hangs  for almost 20-35 seconds, then no advancements in the 7%. After that, it just reboots automatically.

How does F8 helps a computer?

When I turned on my computer and in 5 seconds of starting up the blue screen suddenly appears. So I will restart it to be able to fix it but nothing happen. I called my friend to help me and she told me that I should try to press F8 but she didn't told me what will happen  after I press it. Just try it she said. So I pressed it and there's 8-9 options to choose from. I tried one of it but nothing happen. Can you help me fix my computer?

I have found this site for the first time and amazed by the collection of solution of this site. I am here to solve a little problem on my DELL Inspiron laptop. I am running Windows 7 for about 3 months and windows defender is irritating me too much. Everyday it shows up and reminds me to run windows defender.

Previously I was running XP operating system but I am getting familiar very slowly with different features of Windows 7. I want to uninstall this feature. But the problem is it doesn’t appear in Programs and Features under Control Panel menu. It looks like an antivirus. I am already using a registered antivirus; do I need to run windows defender too? 

I am in great danger guys, please help me. Accidently I have formatted one of my hard disk partition and lost lots of important files and documents. One of the documents is my project report which I need to submit within one week to my varsity teacher and I have no backup copy of that document.

I have collected an utility software called Easy Recovery Pro 6.0 to recover files from formatted drive. By using this utility software I have found some of the files from formatted drive but huge numbers of files are still missing. Have you ever experienced this type of problem?

Please do suggest something, what can a do in this crisis moment?
