Questions Solved

Hi,

I just encountered a problem with one of my computer programs. It says, I need to use the task manager for me to end its process. However, to my surprise, I do not seem to see all the tabs that were previously in there. I know there were six of them. I know there should be Applications, Processes, Services and the likes, but I do not see them.

I tried rebooting my Vista computer, just so the system will be refreshed, but it did not work. When I pull up the task manager, same thing appears. All my task manager’s tabs are gone! How do I get it back?

Help!

Hi All,

I do not know if I am just busy or just sleepy, but I cannot see my recycle bin on the desktop.

Well, I am using a Windows Vista computer. I did not do anything on my computer. No recent changes in configuration of my computer. No recent installed applications. But, I did a clean up on my computer. I deleted several files in my documents. Most of them are Word and Excel documents. Also, I did a clean up on my desktop. I may have deleted it accidentally.

Now, I am having issues seeing or accessing it. I deleted an image which should be discarded and I need to get it back. Please help in restoring my recycle bin.

Thanking you.

Dear Online Techyv People,

I have a Windows Vista operating system. I think this is Service Pack 2. And I got a problem with my Skype for Quick Launch Shortcut. See the screenshot below.

I do not know whether when or how, but I just do not see Skype on my Quick Launch.

I hate going to Start, All Programs, Skype every time. It sounds lazy, but that is the use of shortcuts – To have our accesses easier.

Is there a way for me to get hold of my Skype application faster?

Or, If there are none, how can I get my Skype shortcut in Quick Launch area?

I am hoping for a quick response.

Hi,

I have  Win XP running on my computer, on a 3 partition, 250 GB HDD, on a AMD Athlon II 250 processor with 3 GB RAM and an onboard video and sound card. I already have a Win XP running on it, but I want to have a Win7 installed on my computer without erasing the Win XP OS, so I can navigate and familiarize myself with the Win 7 environment. How can I do that with Win XP ? Will it still be bootable. I'm still using Win XP for gaming.

Hoping for your assistance. Thanks.

Hi friends,

I am an avid gamer for both online and offline. I want to buy a new PC. The problem is I want my new PC to have a WinXP and a Win7 OS, where I just can select one OS. Win7 will be primary boot OS, as I want an updated OS version to operate and navigate with, while I will be using winXP just for gaming purposes as some games have issues running on Win7 platform. Please help.

Thank you.

Hello,

My computer has a Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit Operating System installed on it. Recently, I was trying to open a .reg file ,but I can't open the file since windows keeps on blocking it. An error from Windows Security says:

These files can't be open.

Your Internet security settings prevented one or more files from being opened.

Hi,

I am running Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3 32-Bit Operating System. I don't have any problems with my system, except for this annoying clock, that keeps changing it's time zone and the time itself. Every time I turn my computer on, I have to change the time to my current time.

While working on my computer, the clock will stay firm and will not change its value unless I shut down my computer. After rebooting, the clock will change its value and time zone to a different country.

Hi,

I have about 50 photos that I want to burn on a disk ,so I can free some space on my desktop computer and I can transfer some on my laptop. I burned it using my Nero StartSmart. The burning process started after inserting a blank generic DVD-R.  And the process has been burned and verified.

Hi,

What are the advantages of having multiple threads per process instead of single thread per process?

Explain in detail.

Thanks.
