Nero burned files but is not visible on other computer

Hi,

I have about 50 photos that I want to burn on a disk ,so I can free some space on my desktop computer and I can transfer some on my laptop. I burned it using my Nero StartSmart. The burning process started after inserting a blank generic DVD-R.  And the process has been burned and verified.

All the pictures are successfully transferred on my DVD-R. I checked on it on My Computer if all the photos are there, and it all went well. But when I put the burned disk on my laptop, I can't seem to find any of the jpeg pictures I burned a while ago. The disk is blank, and there is nothing inside it.

I am using Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3 32-Bit on my desktop computer, while I use a Windows 7 Professional X64 on my laptop. Even when I tried to open it on another computer, I cannot find the files inside the disk. I can see all the pictures if I put the disk back to my desktop computer where I burned it.

Can anyone help me on this? Why can't I see the pictures on other computer?

The burning process ended successfully with a minimal burning speed.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Koby. My first idea is that the problem was not caused by Nero since the pictures can be accessed after burning. My second thought is that maybe it is not the pictures itself that you were able to burn. Maybe you burned into the CD just the shortcuts of the pictures. If this is the case, the shortcuts burned in the CD cannot find the files on your laptop and therefore does not appear. My third opinion is that there must have been a problem in the way you access your CD through your laptop. You should right-click on the CD, select Explore, check the properties and make sure that the Hidden attribute is turned off.

Hi sarah. I was able to resolve the issue by burning the pictures on another DVD-R. But this time I did not use generic disk. Maybe the optical drive on my laptop just can't read files from different disk. Thanks for your help.
