Hello,

When I opened the file the font error message appeared. I cannot extract the embedded font. Can anyone give me the proper solution to resolve this problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am running Mac Operating System using FF 1.0 with Adobe Reader 7 installed but receiving the following error message when I try to open couple of PDFs in FF. I am unable to understand this error message.

Adobe Acrobat

Cannot extract the embedded font ‘KXIPNR+CMSL10’.Some characters may not display or print correctly.

Hi George,

This was a common bug with Adobe Acrobat however there are suggestions to revert to a certain update however that will be obsolete. What you can do is delete all the Microsoft preferences that have something to do with font cache. You may also want to delete the embedded fonts and then in your Acrobat  click on save as and then Optimized PDF go to Fonts tab and then unembed fonts.

Hi,
The error is because the color management settings are not performed.
To resolve this error there are multiple solutions.
Solution 1: Changes in the settings of color management
1) Open the Acrobat software
2) Click 'Edit' > 'Preferences'

Preferences-option-in-edit-menu

3) Navigate to the 'Color Management' option
4) Set the 'Color Management' option to off
5) Close Acrobat
6) Restart the system and open Acrobat

Solution 2: Setting the flag values
1) Set the 'Do not insert font in PDF' to true
2) After setting this option, the font is not embedded into the PDF file
3) The windows font is put in the file
4) The Acrobat Reader will use the windows font for reading the files
