I am in the process of rebuilding my old PC to a decked out gaming system. But I need to cut as many cost as I can. Will regular older RAM be ok to use for extreme gaming with out over doing it? Or should I go ahead and plan on spending the money for new RAM?
Old RAM In New Gaming Machine?
Replacing your old RAM with another new RAM for your new gaming machine will depend on some few factors. If the RAM adds up to 4 GB, there is no need to replace considering you are on a tight budget. If your old RAM however is 2 GB or below, you should consider buying another one. This is because, for good gaming performance, a RAM of at least 3 GB is required.
