Hello all

I got the following message when I was trying to launch crossfire:

File is changed : W[2007] L[0] crossfire.exe

OK

So  I  recently followed the instructions on the following two websites to install crossfire patcher again:

After following all the instructions, I still got the following error

Invalid patch system version

OK

I again reinstalled crossfire but still I got the same error.

Has anyone else encountered this problem?

Please help me to fix it up. I'll be really obliged.

Waiting for your replies

Regards

Hi,

The problem that you are facing is not because there is some problem with your patcher or the software you are trying to patch. The patcher that you were using previously may be having a problem but the later does not have any problem. The patcher you are trying to use is not compatible with the crossfire.

To solve this problem,
1 Check for the version of the cross fire software wither from the software itself or from the site you downloaded. If it was a CD/DVD please check the cover for the version.
2 Once you know the exact version then download the patcher for that version. This time you would not face the same problem.

In case of any other problem feel free to ask again. Hope you got your answer! 🙂

If your Crossfire game encountered a problem after you installed the patch, you probably need to uninstall and reinstall your game and install the latest available patch. Download the free version of Revo Uninstaller and install. Once installed, start Revo then select your Crossfire game among the applications and click “Uninstall”. Follow the normal uninstall process.

When uninstall is complete, click “Scan” to scan your computer for any leftover files and delete everything it finds. This removes everything the program created on your computer. When it is finished, exit Revo then download the free version of CCleaner and install. Once installed, start CCleaner and clean your system. Install Crossfire back then download the latest Crossfire Manual Patch and install.

See if this works. Also, make sure your computer meets the requirements. Crossfire supports Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8.x. It requires 3.30 GHz Intel Core i3 or faster processor, 4 GB RAM, NVIDIA GT 630 or better video card, 6 GB free space, Microsoft DirectX 9.0c or higher, and internet connection (cable, DSL, or faster).

If this doesn’t fix the problem, repeat the same steps to uninstall Crossfire then download the latest Crossfire client and the latest patch. This should fix the problem.
