Good day,
Everything started when I decided to update my Windows Vista with service pack 2. I downloaded the update file from the Internet, by searching for an update in the search engine. The update installed with no problems, but after that it throws me an error as below. I tried to restart but error keeps throwing.

When I try scanning using Canon All-in-one Printer on TWAIN-supported applications (like Acrobat like on the screen capture below), I get this DLL error.
I have checked the device manager and this DLL file is included and existing on the driver for Canon scanner. I am much more inclined using TWAIN interface than others because it offers more customizations (like paper size).
How do I get this DLL error fixed?
Thanks!
Adobe Acrobat: Acrobat.exe – System Error
The program can't start because rmslantc.dll is missing from your computer.

I have an 8 GB USB Flash Drive, which I am using for sometime now without issues. Last night I transferred, some files as usual on the flash disk and ejected it via "safely remove hardware.
Today, When I opened the USB flash drive, strange file and folder names have appeared as you can see on the screen capture below.
Does this mean my files are corrupted?
Can I recover my files?
