I am currently testing Microsoft Office 2007 to determine if my company should upgrade from Microsoft Office 2003.  One of the things I tested was the Microsoft Excel. I tried running an important spreadsheet that was originally created in Microsoft Excel 2003.

The spreadsheet ran on Compatibility Mode however, any information that has been modified such as formatting, color, format, font style and font size is lost after I close the file.

Recreating the files takes up too much time and has become intolerable, that I have to run all the files in Compatibility Mode for now. I even tried downloading the Microsoft Office 2010 Beta but I eventually had to rip it out because it was too buggy.

I need help in figuring Microsoft Excel out. I have this Excel file where I input dates in some columns.

The problem is whenever I right-click the cell, the date format changes.

I tried restarting Microsoft Excel and even tried formatting the cells but the changes kept on happening.

I was a Microsoft Outlook user for a long time but I noticed that it allows quite a lot of spam even after updating. To address this, I tried using Zone Alarm Junk Mail with Microsoft Outlook.

The problem is that the Zone Alarm Junk Mail notifies me of new messages even if they are classified as Spam. On the other hand, this does not happen when I deactivate the Zone Alarm Junk Mail feature and use Outlook’s Spam Filter instead.

Does Outlook have a feature that would remind me of things so I won’t forget them? If none, is there an alternative third party utility that I could use?

 I hope anybody who knows about MS outlook can give me suggestions.

I have been using Windows XP Pro SP2 and Microsoft Outlook 2003.

I just had MSN Outlook Connector installed and I intend to move the OST file that was created in "%USERPROFILE%LocalSettingsApplication DataMicrosoftOutlook" but e-mail account does not have advanced settings like other MAPI accounts.

I already tried to move it and then reopened it through MS Outlook but the prompt message says it could not file the OST file and offers me to browse in another location.

I hope you can teach me how I could move an OST file properly. Thank you. 

I need to know if Microsoft Outlook 2003 has a feature that will allow to me to classify my email into categories such as Important, Confidential or Secret E-mails?

If none, is there any third-party software that I could use to help me classify my e-mails? I hope you can help me. Thank you. 

I have been using an HTML signature file containing a couple of images that I use for my outgoing e-mails. Whenever I use it with Microsoft Outlook 2005, the images are automatically embedded on the email and the recipients of my email could see them.

The problem is that, the same signature stopped working when I upgraded into Microsoft Outlook 2007. When I tried using it, I just kept getting a prompt message linking to drive C: and the images in my HTML signature are not embedded anymore. As a result, the recipients of my email could not see them.

I have been using Microsoft Outlook 2007 for quite a while and this is my situation.

I have a recurring appointment set but it doesn’t have an end date. I have edited single occurrences of this appointment in the past. Now, I would like to set and end date but whenever I try, I get a prompt message saying that I will lose any exceptions to the series.

Is there anything I can do to save the exceptions but still be able to remove the recurrence from this date onwards?

CaI am looking for an application that runs in the background to connect Outlook 2011 to Growl Notifier for my MS Exchange account. I am using Mac OS X 10.6.7. Any assistance would be much appreciated!! 

I am an ex-Palm head looking into Evernote as a substitute for Outlook notes as my notes were shamefully neglected on WinMo by Microsoft.  My notes were organized categorically and this translates nicely into a Tag on Evernote for Windows. However, the WinMo client appears to be unable to sort notes by Tag which scuppers this. Is there any way for me to add this to the WM client?

I want to create an error-free, fully accessible PDF file from a PowerPoint presentation. I have MS Office 2010, and I have checked Web accessibility using Acrobat 9 Pro. When I try to convert the PowerPoint to PDF, the pictures that do not necessarily need an alternate text ask for an alternate text. I tried giving alternate texts to these pictures, but they won’t register. Can anybody help me?
