I am indistinct with Amps measurements and its use to power supplies with the conforming power cords that is plugged directly to the outlets. I owned an external hard disk that needs 12V 4.0amp adaptor. I placed a small block to control the hard disk power correctly. I have other cord that plugs with the outlet and can manage 2.5amps as specified on the tag of the wire. I want to know if this one will work on my hard disk or not. Please send me some suggestions and resolution. Thanks.

Hello to all our Experts here! My brother gave me a Transcend 500GB External Hard Disk. It has 2 USB plug at the end of it. But I am only using one USB cord for data transferring. It’s been working perfectly fine for the whole time that I am using it. But when I tried to install it to my Dell Inspiron 1520 with Windows XP, it entirely made the computer system to stopped working correctly. I even press the power button to force close my computer. I tried to revert my BIOS settings to the previous month to no avail. What should I do now? Please help.

Hoping to find some help here.

I was using Power DVD 9 to watch Blu-Ray movies for months. But recently I was trying to see a movie I  faced a problem. The picture was in the form of posterized. I am having only 8 colors. It was something like that I am watching on an EGA or it was lost all low order color information.

I use an HP Workstation x4000 in creating CAD models here at work.  It is already an out-of-date computer and recently, I ran out of memory in my hard drive.  It has specifications of 58 GB SCSI, 68pin HP.  The IT technician who works in our company bought me a 1GB SATA Drive, Raid Card, just enough memory to load the MEC Card, and also the Norton Ghost to speed up the recent drive.  But the problem is that, the card that he purchased cannot be put in the Mobo.  My computer has a ribbon with an empty plug and also a power plug, however, both are intended for a 68 pin SCSI drive. 

The battery of my Asus Eee Pad Transformer has been acting badly recently. Why is this happening that when every time I’m done using it and then I place it in the dock to charge it but it only fills 95%-98%.

I recently bought an Eken M013F Android Tablet.  Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to hook up to WIFI using it.  I have tried it in a number of areas where I am expecting to obtain a high signal but still I was unable to connect. 

Whenever I tried to connect, it displays “Scanning … “, “Connecting…“, “Obtaining IP address … “, and then “Disconnected”.  Then, I will start the process again but the result is still the same.  It's really frustrating and disappointing and everytime I'll just get tired of trying and turned off the Wi-Fi. 

I’m getting problem with any webcam software when I start the cam:  "Error 418 capture device was not detected".

Is it running on background, and if yes, what name should I End Process in Task Manager?

Restarting the PC does not fix it too.

Please help.

We just experienced a hard drive failure on our RAID1 configuration on an SBS 2003 server here at our work place. We tried to resolve this by changing it to a HDD from Dell but this was unsuccessful because of the several defective blocks on the initial HDD.

I have spoken with a technical support person from Dell and I was advised that we cannot simply establish a backup since a latest HDD would probably not work as well. He also told me that we should have done this from the very start.

I also thought of transferring everything to a new SBS 2011 as this could also improve our hardware but my boss didn’t approve of this because he doesn’t want to purchase a new server at the moment.

I checked the device I was adding and it was operational.  It was also securely connected to the network. 

So, any advice on what to do next?  I tried adding again but I still got the same error.
