I've created and developed a home server so I decided and choose to go ahead and put it downstairs in a closet with the modem and wireless router.

To complete so I had to run cat6 from the closet to my desktop up stairs and also a run from the closet towards the apple television within the living room. I finished everything up and set up the apple TV to pull or drag all my movies from the server just fine, I also got all our laptops to connect to the internet just fine also.

My Toshiba laptop is equipped with a Multiple Digital Media Card Slot. I can use SD/ SDHC/ Memory stick/ Memory Stick Pro, MMC/ xD Memory Cards on it with appropriate capacities.

But lately, when I try to transfer some pictures from my Sony Digicam, I inserted a Sandisk adapter to the slot with the memory card inside it, I can hear the tick sound proving that I successfully inserted the adapter. Normally, when you inserted a USB or memory card adapter or any disk on my DVD Rom, a pop up box will appear to Autoplay the media I inserted. But my memory card slot cannot read anything.

DVD-ROM drive is not showing up on my laptop. The problem started after I updated its drivers this morning. I have windows 7 and I used the roll back driver feature but it didn't fix the problem. I also did system restore and rebooted the laptop twice.

I am using a super DVD – Super multi DL drive and this is the first time that I encountered this problem because my laptop is fairly new. I don't want to reinstall the operating system because I have  a lot of files that needs to be backed up.

Do you have any other solutions that could possibly fix my problem?

I don’t really have an in-depth knowledge about hardware and I need help with this problem that I am encountering. I am using -PXI 1044-PXI 8106-PXI 5142 (Digitizer)-PXI 5441 (AWG). I am using the serial port for external hardware to send commands and also generate signals with the AWG which should be at the same time in order to run an acquisition on the digitizer.

The root of the problem is how to send a trigger signal to these two working hardware and also how to do the write command on the serial port. Will sending this type of signal be possible on the RTSi lines?

I used Windows XP for a long time but my brother preferred to change it on Windows Vista. I am not that fan of Vista because I found it hard and little keen on its desktop theme. Vista's desktop theme with its new windows start button is not that good, i am getting hard and rid of it. So, I wanted to try and download Windows XP theme.

Is it possible that I will use XP them in Vista. Is XP theme will work at vista? Can someone please help me to find a XP theme to download as replacement of Vista theme.

How to fix a modem?

Yesterday, I turned on my computer to check my email and when I open my internet browser which was "Google Chrome." It says that was "temporarily down. etc." I immediately clicked on the control panel to check the internet connection of my computer. My internet is connected and the LAN card has light on it but its not blinking like before.

So I decided to reboot my computer and when it opens up to the desktop I click on the Google browser to checked if its already okay but its not. My friend just told me that the LAN card failed to supply internet connection to computer. He suggested to replaced it with a new LAN Card. But I don't know how to do that. Is there someone who can teach me how to replace a LAN card?

I have this weird issue going on with my laptop. I am currently doing an article for our school paper, so I am typing this on Microsoft Word 2007. I am in the middle of my composed article when all of a sudden, whenever I pressed L on my keyboard, my laptop locks.

There is the same issue with the other keys, it just that it opens another program or explorer opens. So I am trying to find the issue with my mouse. I think it has something to do with keyboard shortcuts, so I checked it, but I think the configuration is fine. Besides, there is no shortcut configured for my computer to lock with just the letter L. Patiently,

I recently bought a printer Hp Deskjet 840c and i have not been able to install it successfully on my computer. I am running on Windows XP Pro. I keep on getting error messages every time i reboot the computer. There is a common annoying message that pops up every time i turn on the PC.

"Hp Deskjet 840c installer error. Unable to create Hpztbx04.exe shortcut, file not found. The RPC server is unavailable."

I bought new deskjet 840c series installation drivers and tried to install them. This is the error message i got,
