Questions with no accepted solutions
Hi all,
I am using Oracle for our companies' application. When I was doing some coding with my oracle project, I got an error that said, no connection to the database.
No database connection
No connection to the ‘Spectrum’ database could be made. Please correct the problem and try again!
As I understand with the error, it points to a connection going to the database server, I checked on my network connection and it seems to have no problem, I am connected with the companies local area network.

OpenOffice Calc Sorting Columns won’t work
Hello,
I am working with my task in ODesk and collecting names from Facebook. I put those names on the first column (A) at random. I want it presentable when submitting to my employer so I decided to sort the names from A to Z. So I highlighted the first column which is the Column A and after clicking the sort button on the toolbar I notice that the first record doesn’t move to its correct location.
The name starts with the letter M, and that should be moved about on the middle of the list. I repeat the action but still don’t work. I created new worksheet but still problem occurs. Did I do wrong in sorting records? Please help.

Hi all,
Dropbox on one of my Windows computers all of a sudden decided not to sync or even connect. Files are being uploaded to the web by my other computers, just not this one, and it's not retrieving files from the web either. Unfortunately, I have to use this computer to prepare some of my files before sending to my other computer, so this is really frustrating. Internet connection is active, btw… or I wouldn't be posting this ;-)I have unlinked the account, and uninstalled/reinstalled Dropbox twice. No better. Now it won't let me put in account information to re-link it. Any thoughts?

Hi,
Whenever I open a webpage, the default language is always that of the internet provider, which is actually from a non-English speaking country. I want it to be set at English as default. I tried to change the language manually by:
- In internet explorer —go to view
- Encoding – select the preferred language
- English is not available, so I selected Unicode (UTF-8)
After doing the above, the browser still opens in the ISP’s native language. I am already at lost here, what else can I do to solve this?
Thanks.

Hi,
I have windows vista on my desktop computer. I was using Zone Alarm for firewall, but it didn’t work for me. So after a few days, I disabled it. I also tried the 60 day trial that I got from Norton. Yesterday, the trial period ended. So I uninstalled Norton and used windows firewall. After restarting my computer, I cannot connect to the internet anymore. I am connected to the network, but it’s odd that I cannot connect to the internet.
I tried to find the reason by running diagnostics and it informed me that my wireless driver is having hardware issue. What does this mean?

Hi all,
I have a SQL table named “Employee”. The table consists of the fields: Emp_Id, Emp_date, Emp_msg. The Emp_Id column can have more than one same entry in the table. The fields are separated by ‘|’.
Example: data in the SQL table
231| 10102009| T1
231| 11102009| T2
231| 11102009| T3
I have tried to write a select statement that will put these each Emp_Id in one line.
Example: data of the resultant output.
e.g.
231| 10102009| T1| 11102009| T2| 11102009| T3
It was difficult to write a query for this. Could anyone help me write a query for this?
Thanks.
