My computer has been running really slow

Greetings everyone…

Please help me with my problem.  My computer has been running really slow and I don’t know what could be causing it. When I checked the Task Manager, it indicated that my CPU usage is 100% but when I looked at the Processes, the CPU usage drops to 0 and then shoots up again to 99%.

I think this is what’s causing my computer problem and I really need to know how I can solve it.

I hope you can help me.

Thank you.

There might be some hidden processes caused by a virus on your system, that shoots up your CPU usage to 99%. It is usually on the start up program that initializes it. To fix the problem, go to safe mode and then look at the start up folder. Make sure that you show all hidden files to view all the exe files in there. Delete all of the process that you don't know and start your computer normally.

Perform a scan of your whole system, but you need to install a genuine Antivirus first. Delete all viruses found and then perform a registry cleaner of your computer.

If non of the techniques work, then you have no choice but to reformat your whole system to avoid losing files. Make sure to make a back up of important files that you have.

Hello,

Your computer has been running really slow.  Empty the recycle bin and the windows temporary folder.  To go there, right click on the icon of the recycle bin, then you can see the empty recycle bin option.  Select that and then go to the start menu.  Click the control panel and select the Internet option.  Just double click to open it.

After that, go to the general tab and open the tab.  Go to the browsing history and then click the settings button.  Select the delete files option under temporary internet files.

Also make sure you check for any virus and spyware on your computer to avoid infected software or maybe viruses that can affect your system.
