Windows 32 bit to 64 bit of windows 2007

I am already using windows 32 bit. But I want to upgrade it to 64 bit of windows 7. Is this possible to upgrade my operating system from windows 32 bit to 64 bit of windows 2007 or vice versa? If possible please tell me how I can do it?

Windows 32 bit to 64 bit of windows 2007

You cannot upgrade from 32 bit to 64 bit of windows 7. Although there are several ways to run your computer on 64 bit but you cannot simply upgrade from 32 bit to 64 bit. To run your computer on 64 bit windows you will have to follow the following instructions.

1. You will need to buy a new disk containing the 64 bit version of windows 7.
2. Backup all your important data as everything except the default factory settings will be wiped clean.
3. Now clean install the windows using the 64 bit disk you have bought.
4. Remember clean install is not same as FORMAT and INSTALL. In format and install you lose everything on your hard drive.
5. Clean installation moves existing System files to a folder name Previous System, then installs a new copy of  OS .You cannot start up your computer using the Previous System folder.

Windows 32 bit to 64 bit of windows 2007

• You can change your system or upgrade it to 64 bit system. Once you have removed your 32 bit system then you can install a fresh copy of 64 bit window. 64 bit use 64 bit memory and is more fast then 32 bit thus helps in good performance.
• But you are already using the 32 bit window and you have a lot of info on your disk drive and you don't want to make a format then 32 bit window is also suitable for your PC. But in case you really need a 64 bit copy of window then you can delete the previous one and can install the new one on it.
• To install a new copy you have to make a complete format to your drive where you have already a window installed and then you can install a new window to this drive you formatted earlier.
