My VLC Media Player works appropriately until I noticed that when I am going to play a DVD tape inserted from my disc there is nothing I heard even though it was not muted, also the volume is 200% full however it is still the same I cant hear any sounds coming from my player.
Can you lease explain this to me why this certain thing happened?
VLC Player Plays DVD But No Sounds
You need to check one of the cables connected to your DVD-ROM drive. There are 3 cables that should be connected in the CD/DVD-ROM drive: 1, the power cable; 2, the ribbon cable or control cable; and 3, the CD/DVD-ROM’s audio cable. The image below is what the CD/DVD-ROM’s audio cable looks like.

The CD/DVD-ROM’s audio cable is connected to the analog audio port at the back of the CD/DVD-ROM. The other end of the cable is attached to the soundcard’s audio pins just like in the image below.
That is where the sound from the CD/DVD-ROM goes. When you load any audio or video disc in your CD/DVD-ROM it passes the sound to the soundcard through the audio pins as audio input and then the soundcard outputs the audio to its audio-out port. That is when you hear the sound through your speakers connected to the audio-out of the soundcard.
