Using HP F4580 in Compaq laptop

Hi,

I am quite confused on what to do with my Compaq laptop.  I just finished downloading and installing the driver for an HP F4580 but it will not open.

I tried everything but still nothing happened.  By the way, my laptop runs on a Win7 64 bit.  I tried to run the driver on an Acer laptop and it worked.  What did I miss?

Maybe the driver that you downloaded for your HP F4580 printer is not compatible with your operating system. It is possible that the driver for your printer is compatible to run on 32-bit versions since you are using a 64-bit Windows 7 operating system.

Since the installer was downloaded from a website in the internet, try downloading another copy of it that is 64-bit compatible. Otherwise, downgrade your 64-bit Windows 7 to 32-bit so you can run and use the application you downloaded for your printer.

Check also if the printer’s application also supports Windows 7 and not Windows XP and Windows Vista only and other lower versions.
