Updation Of The Microsoft Application Shows 0xc80001fe Error

Update error called as 0xc80001fe error that occurs when the user is trying to perform a Microsoft Windows update. The cause of the 0xc80001fe error code is the VSE is configured to scan the %Windir% \SoftwareDistribution directory. When VSE scan files in this directory, the files are temporarily locked and Windows Update or Microsoft Update cannot access the files. This issue can also occur if the Windows Update database has become corrupted. The steps to fix the 0xc80001fe error is to add an exclusion by the following steps:

Step 1: Click on Start, Programs, McAfee, VirusScan Console.

Step 2: Double-click on the On-Access Scanner.

Step 3: Select All Processes as appropriate for the environment.

Step 4: Click on the Exclusion tab.

Step 5: Click on Exclusion then click on the Add.
