Hi tech guys,

Lync download and launch went pretty well and good without creating any problem in the client environment. However, the problem triggered when they try to login, an error message pops up. The error message states ‘the specified address is not recognized or does not exist’. This error message is not bothering in any manner, it just pop up. How do I get rid of this error message? Please help.

This "Not recognized address" error you're experiencing is generated because of the way shortcut was created. The Lync 2013 client was packaged with the use of Office Customization Tools (OCT) and as such, it created certain hardcoded information that cannot be modified or removed. If you use the Lync desktop shortcut, that error will appear every time. This bug is not fixable by the user, however, a workaround is to use the Start menu shortcut for Lync 2013.
