Internet Explorer 9 hangs all the time: Which browser is better?

Hi!  I am quite confused with what browser to use.  I  am currently using Internet Explorer 9 but it hangs all the time, although I thought that it was hailed as editor's choice.  I discovered that I am not the only one experiencing this problem.  I am using 64-bit Windows 7.

Could anyone please help me?  Thank you so much!

Hi Jennifer_long,

Sorry for the trouble you have gone through with your browser which keeps on hanging. If you are using explorer 9 and it keeps on hanging then a would suggest you try the new Firefox version and see how it functions for you.

What is so special about it is that it is fast and keeps standards of service. It is also compliant with window 7 due to it's integration to the new system. The users interface is like a combination of both opera and chrome.

It also has a less clustered user's interface just like explorer so you will adapt to it faster. You can download Firefox and install it free of charge from the website www.firefox.com.

Internet explorer has some issues when it comes to performance, although some people say that it provides the best functionality for them.

Personally, it does not turn out to be the best browser for. It has issues to do with slowness in loading the web pages, security issues and hanging all the time.

If there are browsers that I will recommend for you which I use on daily basis are the following:

  • Mozilla Firefox and
  • Google chrome browser.

These two have the best security mechanisms implemented in them, they are fast, and trust me they will not bore you with the hanging issues that internet explorer is giving you right now. So you can just search any of them on the internet, download it and install it. Ensure that you download a 64 bit since your OS is 64 bit.
