The newest version of Ultrasnow, Version 1.27, was recently release by the Dev-Team, to help with the lockdown problems of any iPhone4 or 3GS.
Can I use it in any operating system by Windows or Mac?

Dev – Team mentioned that you can use it on OS X, Windows, and Linux. So I think this new release can be used on MAC and windows.

As what was stated in the Dev-Team's blog, you can unlock your iPhone using cydia, so a computer wouldn't really be necessary. If you wanted your iPhone jailbroken though, you may use redsn0w, a jailbreak program also developed by the same team. You can find the program in their blog as well. redsn0w is Windows, Mac and Linux capable.
To help fix the unlock, you may install 'Ultrasn0w fixer 5.1.1." after adding the repository "Repo.iparelhos.com"
