Hi there,
I want to make an update to my steam, but during the update I have this error message and broken my steam settings. My PC was connected to the internet and still this error is about network error. Anyone had this kind of error before ? How can I fix this ?

Try restarting your computer and try updating it again. If you still get the network error, uninstall Steam and then restart your machine. Next, click Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, and then select Disk Cleanup. Select drive C and check “Temporary files” and other sections you want cleaned. Click OK to start cleaning and wait for it to finish.
After that, install Steam client again. After the installation don’t update it immediately. Make sure first that it is running properly. Run the program to verify if it is working or not. After you verified that the program is working, you may now try updating it again. Make sure your computer has an active internet connection to avoid experiencing the same error again.
If you are still experiencing a problem in the program, you may be using an older version. Try downloading the latest version of the client from Download And Install Steam.
