Microsoft Visual Studio has encountered a problem

Hi,

Microsoft Visual Studio has encountered a problem.

Whenever I tried to open a file it shows the error message mentioned below.

If you have any idea for the issue please help me to solve the issue.

Microsoft Visual Studio has encountered a problem

The project or solution that you are trying to open is already open. You must first close all the applications that is accessing the file before opening it again. If you had already close the applications that is accessing the file and still it is not accessible. Try to kill the application on the Task Manager better yet Restart your machine.

Microsoft Visual Studio has encountered a problem

Hello,

It is not the problem with the Microsoft visual studio.

The file you are trying to open is been used or opened by the other program running in the background.

Do the following steps.

• Press ctrl +alt+ delete to open task manager.
• In the task manager select the process tab and go to background process.

• Check for the process which is using the file and select it.
• After selecting the file click on end task and close the task manager.
• This should solve your problem.
