Hi,

On the network of ‘Logistic IT Solutions’, I have faced a problem at the time of activating  a database copy within a database which is in the availability group (DAG) cluster.

By using Exchange Management Console (EMC) / Exchange Management Shell (EMS), I tried to move the database of the dynamic mailbox to a different node, the following error occurred.

Microsoft Exchange Error

Cannot activate database copy 'Activate Database Copy…'.

Please help me to solve this problem.

Hello,

This error occurs because Windows cluster services is sending an alert about a malfunction of a particular node . To solve this issue do the following:
First, run Cluster Management MMC snapin. The snapin may help in finding other errors. If you get this error:
"Node 'QV1-EXC1' failed to form a cluster. This was because the witness was not accessible. Please ensure that the witness resource is online and available.", then go to Computer Management and click on Shared Folders and click on Shares. The right pane of the window will display the Share Names. Find DAG01.4logic.lan and open its properties. Click on Share Permissions tab and grant permissions to the DAG01.4logic.lan. Now, restart the cluster service on QV1-EXC1 and the service will function properly.

I hope this is useful.
