My system is having some problems since the last update. I want to learn how to do a server 2008 system restore on my own, step-by-step.
How To Do A Server 2008 System Restore?
First, shut down your system. Then boot your system using a CD and select your language. Then, click on the command prompt and look for the registry files which look like this : system32config
There, look for the RegBackup directory. Check this directory and try to find an earlier version of the offending hive. Lastly, click back to go to the registry hives, rename the offending one(s) and then go to the RegBackup directory and copy the offending hives to the registry folder.
Now restart your computer again.
