I was attempting to download Windows updates on my computer when it gave the error windows could not search for new updates error code 80072ee2. I have no idea to solve this fault. Any advice or suggestion regarding the solution of this problem would be highly appreciated.

Method 1:
It is the easiest and fastest alternative to solve the problem. Close the window of Windows Update, wait for about 15-20 minutes, and then try to begin the Windows Update again.
Method 2: Run the Troubleshooter of Windows Update.
- In the search bar, search for ‘Troubleshooter,’ and Open it;
- In the section “System and Security,”click on ‘Fix problems using Windows Update;’
- Wait until the troubleshooter automatically detects and then fixes the problem.
