I have got a DirecTV satellite installed outside my home, but due to some emergency at that time, the box could not be installed. Is there any way to do it now? If yes, how to connect DirecTV box manually?

How To Connect DirecTV Box At Home?

To fix the DirecTV box is a much simpler process that needs no technical knowledge.

1. Select the type of Box:

1. Standard Definition
2. HD Receiver
3. HD DVR (Digital Video Recorder)

2. Choose the connection method:

1. Composite
2. Coaxial
3. HDMI
4. Component

3. Installing the box for standard-definition:

• Using composite cables-

Simply, connect the coloured cords on the back of the receiver box to the same colour port on television.

• Using Coaxial cable-

Connect one end to the ‘In from Antenna’ port on Television, and the other end to the ‘Out to TV’ on the back of DirecTV receiver. Now, go to channel 3 or 4 to watch.

4. Installing the box for high definition:

• Using HDMI Cables-

Simply plug in the ends of the cord to the HDMI ports on both the devices.

• Using component cables-

It requires separate cables for sound and video. Connect the cords on the receiver to the matching strings on the TV. Plug in green, blue, and red connectors for video, and white and red cables for sound. Finally, set the quality to 1080i or 720p.
