How to solve error in enabling Windows 7 Automatic updates

Settings to update windows:

1. Go to Start->type ‘update’ in the search bar->click on ‘windows update’.

2. Click on ‘Change settings’.

3. Select the option from ‘important update’. The options are;

• Install updates automatically (recommended)

• Download updates but let me choose whether to install them

• Check for updates but let me choose whether to download and install them

• Never check for updates (not recommended)

4. Select the option under ‘Recommended option’ if you want the recommended updates in the same way that you receive the important update.

5. Select the option under ‘Who can install updates’ if you want to allow all users to install the updates.

 

Steps to update Internet explorer:

Solution 1:

Step 1: Go to ‘Start’ button->type ‘update’ on the search bar->click ‘windows update.

Step 2: Select ‘Check for updates’ option. Wait for checking the updates. After checking we will get a message about important updates.

Step 3: Click on the message you received. Now you can see all the available updates. From that select all the ‘Internet explorer’ options->click OK.

Solution 2:

Step 1: Open Internet Explorer->go to ‘Tools’ from the tool bar->select ‘Windows update’ from the drop down panel.

Step 2: Click on the box ‘Custom’. And wait for checking the update.

Step 3: Select the updates related to Internet Explorer.

Step 4: Click on the option ‘Review and install updates’.

Step 5: Click on the option Install update. And wait to complete the installation process.

Step 6: After the installation process, restart the computer.
