Free windows 7 dual camera application is not working.

Hi to everyone,

Free windows 7 dual camera application is not working. My Co technicians installed a free dual camera application in our office’s Windows 7 computer desktops. When trying to use or launch the said program, it crashes and never shows up on the screen. What could be the possible cause of this problem? Is this has to do with compatibility? I need some advice.

Your suggestion is very much welcome.

Free windows 7 dual camera application is not working.

Hi,

There can be 2 reasons why the application is crashing.

1) Application itself not being compatible with Windows 7: Do check the manufacturers website to see if the application is compatible with Windows 7. Alternatively, you can download the Windows 7 compatibility wizard (). Running this program will scan your computer for all installed programs and gives a report all incompatible programs

2) Compatibility issue with another program: There can be a program which is conflicting with the camera application, in order to make sure you check if the issue occurs in a clean boot state. In order to do a clean boot: (This method will only work if you have administrator rights on the system).

a) Click on start and in the search box type in “msconfig” (without the inverted commas).

b) Click on the services tab and put a check mark right next to “hide all Microsoft services” click apply.

c) Restart the computer and check if you are still getting the issue. If yes, then most likely the program is not compatible with Windows 7.

d) If no, then follow step “a & b” to open up msconfig, but this time checks half the items in the list, apply and restart to see if the problem still exists, if yes, then keep on checking half of the items left till the time you are left with the item causing a conflict.

Hopefully this should get you a resolution.

Free windows 7 dual camera application is not working.

The issue is definitely due to incompatibility. It shows that your webcam does not support Dual Cam feature. There are gadgets specially Digital cameras which have such feature that includes enclosed application suite for Windows. Such as Windows 98 and Windows XP. Definitely not Windows seven.
