Hello techyv,

How to rename a file with avi in Windows 7?

I would like to have a software application which is compatible with Windows 7 64 bit operating system and can possibly rename a file with an avi file extension.

Can you please share with me your insights and ideas.

Expecting some help from you guys.

Thank you.

You don’t really need a software for that.

If you want to rename your .avi file or any other files,

Follow the steps below:

1. Search for the file you want to rename

2. Left click on the file once

3. Once highlighted, press F2

4. You can edit the file name to whichever name you want to

  • just remember not to delete or change the file extension of the file or else your file won’t work. For example I have this file aaa.avi and want to change the filename to techyv. I’ll delete “aaa”.avi then replace it with techyv.avi. Don’t delete the file extension.

Simple select the Avi file then Right Click on it a menu will be open click on ‘Rename’ option and rename the file, but remember do not delete the extension for example the avi file name is COOL.AVI you only delete the COOL not the whole COOL.AVI because this is the file extension. (.avi)
