Hi Ally,

I am getting this error message whenever I open a file in Adobe Dreamweaver. I check the filetype associations nothing seems to be problem there. And also I checked the permission, have access to it. Is this a configuration problem? Am I going wrong anywhere? Hunting for solution please help me. Your help is great.

The file ‘wp-activate.php’ cannot be opened:

The associated program (WX_DDE#“C:Program Files (x86)AdobeAdobe Dreamweaver CS6Dreamweaver.exe”,“wp-activate.php”##System#) could not be found.

Please check your filetype associations.

Though your file association with Adobe Dreamweaver is correct but it seems the program it self can’t open the file for editing. Try reinstalling Adobe Dreamweaver and configure the file association again. Uninstall Adobe Dreamweaver, restart your computer, and install Adobe Dreamweaver back. Try opening your file again and see if it works.

If not, open Windows Explorer and go to “C:Users[username]AppDataRoamingAdobeDreamweaver 9Configuration”. Find the file “Extensions.txt” and open it using Notepad or any text editor program. Add your file’s extension to the “All Documents” line. When adding the extension, it must be entered in uppercase letters and separated with comma if more than one extension will be added.

For example: HTML, SHTM, HTM, SHTML, INC. After adding the extension, save the file and then restart Adobe Dreamweaver. Try opening your file again.
