The error is pointing to a particular advapi32.dll file, a Dynamic Link Library file. I am not using a Vista so I will not be able to search for it in my computer if that is a system file. If that dll file belongs to another of your installed applications maybe it was set to launch at startup that’s why the error manifests immediately. Run a disk check on your hard drive to see if there’s a cause for an error in its file structure.

  1. Right click drive C and then click Properties.
  2. Click Tools tab.
  3. Click Check Now button.
  4. Check Automatically fix file system errors and then click Start. Wait for the disk check to finish.

If after the disk check nothing seems to be the problem update your antivirus and run a full-system scan on your computer.
