While trying to connect I am receiving the following error message form SERVER 2008. Please, look at the image and provide me with a solution.
Error:
This server version is not supported. Only servers up to Microsoft SQL Server 2005 are supported.

I understand you problem since I had this problem two three days ago. In my situation I tried to connect to the database in remote machine in my office. That server is MS SQL 2005 and the server I tried to connect is MS SQL 2008.
The problem is we cannot connect to a MS SQL 2008 server using MS SQL 2005 server. Because it is not supported to that version. This is called compatibility issues in IT industry.
I did not try to connect to MS SQL 2005 server from MS SQL server 2008. Sometimes it may be works. But not sure.
