According to an error message, a file in Avira, cclib.dll, “cannot be found or has been modified or destroyed.

Because of that, I cannot run my Avira. What’s the best solution for this one?

Hi Chad,

Your cclib.dll file was deleted by virus so your Avira will now execute.

Solution:

1. Restore your Operation date back where in Avira Antivirus works perfectly.

2. Download a copy of cclib.dll and paste it in your C:Program FilesAviraAntiVir Desktop folder path

3. Clean up your computer using Registry Cleaner software like Tuneup Utilities etc.

4. Use other antivirus software to delete the virus that keeps accessing the important files of the operation system.

Hope your problem is fix

Larry.

Hallo Chad,

You may be getting that error because the Avira version that you have is outdated, and therefore you will need to update it. You will need to update the data file using the following procedure:

  • Go to the icon in the system tray, and then right click it.
  • Select UPDATE.
  • If the update does not work you will need to uninstall Avira and then reinstall it. Make sure that you check the system specs and ensure that you install the right version.
  • After that you can go ahead and update it.

That should help you fix the issue that you are getting.

Regards,

Carl
