I am an owner of a web site and want to prevent any sort of hacking and phishing. Can I get an open source web application firewall as an individual? If yes, from where can I get the same? TIA.

All you need is just a firewall that will be placed between your web server and the internet . The option is always a smooth wall. A smooth wall is basically a free of charge firewall. You need to set up the dedicated firewall to block all the useless incoming and outgoing ports and unused protocols as well. A dedicated firewall can be of worth only if you configure your web server properly and you make sure that all updates are installed.
