Blue Screen Error when connecting Onyx Media Player

Can someone please explain to me what it means when a blue screen appears with an error message saying: “FILE NAME: USBD (01) + 00094F ERROR: OE: 0028: FF09D22F.” I got this error message when I connected my brand new Onyx Portable Media Player 4GB at the back USB port of my computer. I have tried hitting the back button and it makes my computer work normally but it does not install my MP3 player. The manual says it will automatically appear in My Computer but I could not find the Drive for my Portable Media Player. I found it in the Device Manager hard disk controller but it has a red error on it although it says that the device is working properly when I checked its properties. How can I use it when I can even find an icon to run it?

If the device driver in the device manager has a red mark on it in the device manager, then it means that the drivers have not yet been installed and therefore you will need to install them. Use the following procedure to go about that

  • Go to the device manager.
  • First you will have to ensure that the computer you are using has internet access.
  • You will then right click on the device driver that has a red mark.
  • You will then choose update driver.
  • Choose the option for updating the driver online.

The driver will be sought and installed, and thereafter you should be able to use the USB device without any problem.
