When installing Vault Server 2013 on a machine while still having VS 2012 previously I receive the following error during the installation any solutions regarding this?

Hi,

I will help you fix the issue with the Autodesk program on your computer. You have received this error message due to a permission problem on the workstation where you tried to install the Autodesk. The installer was unable to create a local user account called the Autodesk Vault.

To install the Autodesk, you’ll have to manually create user account and add it to the local Administrator’s group. After installation, you can remove the “Autodesk Vault” user account from the local Administrator’s group.

Please note that the Autodesk Data Management Server remains operational.  Hope this will fix your issue.

Thanks and regards,

Skarbos Jay.

That error sounds more like a problem with compatibility. Before installing Autodesk Vault Server 2013, check that the computer meets the requirements. Also, check for additional support requirements like if it needs Microsoft .NET Framework, Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable, and others. On the other hand, if you are installing Autodesk Vault Server 2013 over an existing installation of Autodesk Vault Server 2012, try uninstalling the previous version.

Download the free version of Revo Uninstaller and install it. Once installed, start Revo Uninstaller then select your Autodesk Vault Server 2012 among the applications and click “Uninstall”. Follow the normal uninstall process. When uninstall is complete, click “Scan” to scan your computer for any leftover files and delete everything it finds. This removes everything the program created on your computer.

When it is finished, close Revo Uninstaller then install Autodesk Vault Server 2013 again. See if this works.
