Windows OS
Hi all,
I always download a lot of files. I collected a lot of virus, that is why I decided to reformat my computer.
When on the process of reformatting, particularly on the part that the installer is analyzing my computer stage, an error message appeared, I posted below.
Fatal Error
Setup cannot continue. Contact Microsoft Technical Support. [Error: 557FF5Ch]
What I did, I don't have an idea on where the error originated, since the error message did not point on what is the cause of the error, I repeated the process all over again.

Hi folks,
It's been like this for so many days now. For about 10 mins after starting windows, when I right click my desktop, my mouse pointer stays in "waiting" icon. Not only that, my computer slows down drastically and I notice I cannot run windows built in programs like task manager, regedit, msconfig etc.
What's causing this?
How can I fix this?
Thanks for your help.

Hi,
I am trying to run an application. I just downloaded, but after I clicked it's shortcut icon in the desktop, the just-in-time debugger shows up and it is no use to click ok or cancel, it just won't run the software. I really need to use that software.
How can I get around this?
Thanks.

Hi friends,
Due to feature and updates provided in Windows XP, I planned to upgrade to it. Before upgrading, I was using Windows Millennium Edition (Windows ME) as my operating system.
I did a backup of my important files, but now after upgrading my PC to Windows XP, I am unable to restore those files on new operating system.
Whenever I try to restore that backup, I got the following error.
Unrecognized Media
The backup file contains unrecognized data and cannot be used.

Hi all,
My Laptop computer is copyright Windows Vista Premium and I am planning to dual boot Windows 2007.
But my drive d is almost full as you have seen image below;
I'm confused because, if I use the drive d as Windows 2007 it maybe conflict and damage the program because drive d is use as Recovery. And the size itself is too small and I’m planning to replace the recovery into other drives to be created.
Is it necessary to replace the Recovery drive to other drives? So that the windows 7 will be place in my drive d.
Any help please?
Thanks for help.

Hi folks,
Whenever I need to use my Windows 7 installation disk to fix my computer, I search for it, because I always misplace it. I have a lot of CDs/DVDs and sometimes I mixed up my installation disk with other CDs. I know this will damage my installation disk so, I wonder if I can transfer it to my USB stick and use it whenever I need to format or repair my Windows 7 installation.
I tried copying all the files in the CD to my USB, but it doesn’t boot. I already used the bootsect. exe, but still it won’t boot from USB. Maybe I did something wrong. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks.
