Windows OS

Windows OS

Hi!

Anytime I want to place a toolbar on the left side of the taskbar, next to the start button, and then lock the taskbar, a small piece of a link within the toolbar will still show, so it will not shrink completely. The Lock the taskbar! Option is unchecked when I do this. The only solution I found was to use the handles and make it as small as possible. This only happens in Windows Vista and Windows 7, while in XP it works fine. Does anyone know a solution to get rid of this problem?

Hi! I just started using Mac for the first time, after I  used Windows and Microsoft Office. I want to know how I can move the mail archive created on Windows to Office 2011. I also want to move the templates I created, and some other items contained in .xml, .srs or .nk2 files. Anyone knows a way to do this?

On my own understanding, searching for a perfect Operating System that we used for our desktop is a hard thing to do because for me, there is no operating system that is perfectly designed for each computer. Since computer uses them differently. I would suggest Linux to continue working on their operating system that will load Windows application or even Mac applications. Start asking yourself, does my operating system is really for my desktop?

I'm quite confused.  My computer runs with Windows 7.  Recently, a notification popped up stating that in thirteen days my OS will expire.  When I clicked the notification, it told me to install a Win7 OS and make a back-up.

I then checked the system settings but it vanished.  According to the system settings, my OS is still activated.  How did this happen?  What should I click?

Is there someone out there willing to help me download a local version of Win7 release candidate?  It would be costly for me to download but I really would love to check it out.  Is there anyone willing to copy it in a DVD at a lower price?

I have two Radeon HD 5850 monitors.  I use one to primarily connect to a 24 inch Asus.

The HDMI is connected to the AV Receiver only for sound.  The other one is connected to a  22 inch Dell. The problem is that my Win7 (64bit) will not recognize the Dell component.

How should I solve this?  Did I miss something?

Hi,

I want to upgrade my server from Windows NT4 to Windows Server 2008. The only NT computers in the network are the PDC and BDC, while the others are using Windows XP or Windows Vista. Anyone knows if I have to do anything to the computers in the network when I upgrade, and the Domain controllers change to Active Directory?

Opening (instead of saving) a file from e-mail or a website works fine on my PC which is running on XP. When I do the same on my Vista laptop, it says that the file has gone to a temporary folder, but when I perform a search, it’s not there. I also tried saving the file to My Documents and the Desktop, but it doesn’t work. What am I doing wrong?

Hi!  I have two information which do not coincide.  This is about my processor.  When I run it in a Windows 7 (bit:64) OS, it shows that the speed is 100 Mega-Hertz.  However, the core speed shown is different.  What info should I believe?
