I have a copy of Ubuntu 11.02 which is an ISO. I am using Windows 7 32bit with 1GB of memory, 1.8GHz processor and 80 GB of hard disk. I want to install Ubuntu using a 7.1 version of VMware work station. The problem is the installation always hangs. I’ve tried to wait for over an hour but there were no progress at all. I used the default hardware settings for Ubuntu and yet it still hangs. Can someone suggest the best solution for this? Thank You.

Hello,

I got a Ubuntu Linux and installed it in my PC and proceeded to set up "Savage2".  Later when I logged in there was a dialog box that indicated to go ahead and upgrade to 2.1.0 .5 from 2.1.0.2.

However this did not work, I cannot start the game so I restored it back to 2.1.0.2.

Can anyone point me to the right direction on how to install it properly in Linux?

I just downloaded the kawa-1.11.tar.gz from a website, and when I ran the commands locally under ubuntu, it show some errors.
Command was :
gunzip kawa-1.11.tar.gz
tar xf kawa-1.11.tar
cd kawa-1.11
./configure
make
make check

It gives the following error:
make[1]: *** No rule to make target ‘jmc.expected’, needed by ‘check-jmc’. Astop

Someone help me to overcome this, is there any problems with my commands ?
