Hi,

I have a Toshiba Satellite C650 laptop. Recently I installed Ubuntu 10.10 in that. Now, when I tried to hear some music there was no sound in my headphone.

I tried every possible option like configuring Audio driver, adjusting sound. But the problem is not solved and I can hear anything.

Any help for this will be appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi,

I am using Ubuntu 10.04 on my PC.

I love its graphics and customization. But recently I have faced some weird problem.

My default browser is Firefox.

Now when I browse using Firefox pages load very slowly and it takes forever to open only Google.

Is there any connection error or what.

It will be a great help if someone answers my question.

We are using one new server in my small company. I bought one HP-ux server ps5300 series, as the server is running fine and I want to restore some old files in the server using one LT03 tape. When I used the command Mt –f /dev/rmt/0n stat it’s giving error as “/dev/rmt/0n: No such file or directory”. I tried ejecting the media also but I am getting same error. Can someone tell me how to find the mounting point in the server and how to rewind the tape drive.

I am using one tape drive in one UNIX server. Daily  i used to take backup and weekly also i used to take backup.

When I try to restore one of the UNIX file system from one of the media i am getting error as below

Cannot create file: Not a directory write error extracting inode 14765, name ./sfw/sbin/smbd”.

Can it may be error in server or it may be in the disk.
