I m trying to install Linux on my PC. The flavor is mandrake.

The PC configuration is Intel Pentium iv 3.2 GHz with 1 GB ram and 200 GB hard disk.

Whenever I try to install the Linux, I get the following error.

Error:

An error has occurred – no valid devices were
found on which to create new file systems.
please check your hardware for the cause of this
problem. 

I previously used windows 98 and 2000 professional and don’t have much experience of working with Linux....

I'm using Apple MacBook Core 2 Duo 2.0 GHz Processor with 2GB Ram. Yesterday after working on my MacBook for eight hours I turned off my Mac and today when I tried to turn it on, at work, it doesn't turn on.

I tried several times to turn it on, but failed. Whenever I tried to turn it on, a sound comes from my Mac and only the sleep light blinks.

All my research works are on my Mac.

I have a 64 bit OS windows 7 version. When I was trying to play games like Spiderman 3, Persian Sands of time, which are older games, I am facing a problem with the features of the game, where all features are not working as expected and also there is an issue with NVIDIA drivers in my computer.

I have an internet connection, in Windows 7. It has suddenly stopped working. I have tried resetting the Internet Explorer, to default settings and also tried setting the IP address. The automatic troubleshooting process can’t find the error and it is giving error message, to contact the administrator.

Someone give me the manual troubleshooting steps.

I have created a .vsd file using mapping Visio architect and then publish its template. After that, I have tried to import it into repository/folder, but its throwing  below error.I have even applied service pack 4 but the problem persist. Please suggest.

Recently, I've purchased a new Dell PC with Core I 3 Processor, 4 GB Ram and 500 GB HDD. Though it's a branded PC and comes up with a 500 HDD, I wanted to upgrade it with 2 TB HDD. I have installed Windows 7 on my computer. It picked up my wired and wireless router, printer and other devices. The cable connection to the internet worked. Everything was working correctly. I removed the wireless router.

But now Windows 7 is not getting connected to any devices. It is giving an error message, “unidentified public network”.

I have tried everything to fix the problem. Broadband cable connection is not available. Please Help.

I am running Windows XP SP3 in regular load, and my HDD is a Samsung (I don't know about the exact model, i can check if needed). My problem is that, i boot my pc, start working on normal tasks (say surfing the web), and after some minutes my HDD start doing a noise similar to a "Tick", like if it were skipping over data constantly.

It does it a few seconds and then it continues. In the meantime, the PC freezes completely, and then also continues normally. I'm wondering if it may be related to...

I am using below a specified command, through a batch file. The command and its options have no issues, as per the usage guide of secure client but on running the batch file, I am getting an error, "site not found" (see below image). The issue is somewhere at my server end, since others are able to perform the file upload activity in the same manner.

I am currently using the unlocked Blackberry Storm 9500 and it was working fine.

When I get a message, when I open the browser. I do not have any IT policy except the IT Policy “ .bin ” file which I used to remove a different IT policy.

The error message is:
